Donor Spotlight: Bequest will keep the Leighty light shining

Jane Leighty ’82 turned to UW-Platteville when advancement in her business career at Land’s End required a bachelor’s degree. Her BA combining business and psychology proved especially useful as she and husband Kevin ran their business, the Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park. Kevin, a SW Tech grad, handled day-to-day operations while Jane did the books and used her psychology education to screen for the best tenants. Retired and living in Florida, they want their values to live on through a bequest in their wills to UW-Platteville. That, along with annual contributions helping current students, will keep their legacy alive. They urge fellow alumni to join them in making a planned gift. As they say, “Just do it!”
