Donor Spotlight: Bequest ensures future scholarship support

Wendell E. (Wes) Sisson ’66 and his wife of 50 years, Janet A. (Dreher) Sisson ’69, say they chose UW-Platteville because of their interest in education and the excellent reputation of the School of Education. Now retired, they both enjoyed long and fulfilling careers as educators—including many years teaching in the Department of Defense Dependents Schools system in Heidelberg, Germany. To ensure that their scholarship support continues for future generations, Wes and Jan have included a bequest to the University of Wisconsin – Platteville Foundation and Alumni Association in their estate plan. As lifelong educators, they hope that their gift will be a way for their connection with students to endure beyond their lifetimes.
