Donor Spotlight: Fund a scholarship with current and future gifts

David Ward’s family has a long history of giving back, and he is continuing that tradition by creating a scholarship fund for students majoring in agriculture—as he did. “Each year I add to the fund with a goal of making it an endowed scholarship. In addition, I have made plans in my estate to add to the fund.” David met his wife Jean at UW-Platteville, and they are both members of the 1866 Cornerstone Society. “I like the fact that an endowed scholarship fund will keep on giving after I’m gone,” David says. “I hope a UW-Platteville education will open doors for future students as it did for me.”
